The MLACC Travel Grant provides support for music librarians, library paraprofessionals, library students, and anyone interested in music librarianship to attend chapter meetings. Priority will be given to library school students, new music librarians and paraprofessionals, and chapter meeting presenters. Applicants must write two short essays on (1) their interest in attending the meeting and (2) a justification of financial need. Applicants will also need to provide a brief travel and lodging budget as well as a current resume. Applicants do not need to be chapter members to apply, but must agree to join the chapter upon receiving the award. Membership dues are $20 (regular) and free for students.
This year’s chapter meeting will be held at the University of California, Davis on October 19-20 (all day Thursday and half day Friday).
The deadline for applying is Thursday August 31 (extended from July 31).
